One of parenthood's greatest pleasures is story time. Stories played a big role in creating family bonds, teaching my kids how to read, and helping them fall asleep at night. Story time is also how I got my start making audiobooks.
While my narration today is more complex, reading kids' books remains a favorite pastime.
Here, I make some of my favorites, most of them "old school," available for free. Listen or download for any purpose you like:
To listen to any of the stories below, click the play button. To download an MP3 for future listening, click the three dots at the right of the media player, and choose download. The file will download automatically to your device's default downloads folder.

It's over 80 years old, and one of the best read-aloud books ever. Big fun for all as you invite your little one to recite quickly, in order, Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack!

Bobby wonders if he can get a hit with a lucky hat or a lucky bat. Or maybe it's something else.

I hope both you and your kids enjoy these stories. I still record new ones, and change them from time to time. Be sure to occasionally check back.
